It has been created by scientists from the University of Edinburgh, Britain.
Prepared from a mixture of substances containing carbon and nitrogen.
It has been prepared by keeping the mixtures at approximately 10 lakh times atmospheric pressure (70 to 135 gigapascal) and at a temperature of 1.5 thousand °C.
It was found to be harder than cubic boron nitride (hardest after diamond).
