  • This is a form of cyber harassment.
  • It involves publicly disclosing a person's personal information without his or her consent.
  • Through this information it can be found out that –
    • Who the particular person really is
    • Where does he live
    • How to contact him; etc.
  • There is no formal law against doxxing in India.
    • However it is a punishable offense under Section 354 (D), 509 of the IPC and Section 67 of the IT Act.
