In December 2021, the 'Defence Research and Development Organization' (DRDO) has successfully conducted maiden flight test of ‘Pralay’ missile from APJ Abdul Kalam Island. It is developed by DRDO.
Pralaz is a new generation indigenous 'surface-to-surface' missile. Its range is 150-500 km. It can be launched by mobile launcher.
This missile is based on 'Solid Propellant Rocket Motor' and many other innovative technologies. The missile is equipped with 'state-of-the-art navigation system' and 'integrated avionics' technology.
