  • Scientists have discovered fossilized remains of Protosterol Biota inside a rock at the bottom of the ocean near the Northern Territory in Australia. These remains are from the Proterozoic Eon period which was important in the development of complex life.
  • It is the microscopic organism, belongs to the family of organisms called eukaryotes. They have a complex structure combining mitochondria.
  • These ancient organisms inhabited the underwater world over 1.6 billion years ago and are the source of the evolution of life on Earth that could unravel the story of the evolution of life on the planet.
