Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment has launched ‘Shreshtha Yojna’ on the occasion of 66th death anniversary of Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar.
This scheme is aimed at providing socio-economic upliftment and holistic development of students belonging to scheduled castes by providing quality residential education in reputed private schools.
In the next 5 years, 24800 meritorious students of scheduled castes will be given education from class 9th to 12th in aspirational districts identified by NITI Aayog under this scheme.
