Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog and US Agency for International Development (USAID) has announced a new partnership under the "Sustainable Access to Markets and Resources for Innovative Delivery of Healthcare (SMRIDH)" initiative.
It will improve access to affordable and quality health care for vulnerable populations in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities and rural and tribal areas.
In the year 2020, an innovative blended finance facility was developed by USAID, IPE Global, and various stakeholders from the Government of India, academia and the private sector.
The aim was to combine public and charitable funds with commercial capital to create and rapidly promote market-based health solutions.
The new partnership will enhance the efforts of SMRIDH Initiatives to reach out to vulnerable populations and leverage Atal Innovation Mission's expertise in innovation and entrepreneurship.
