Rajasthan will host the 5th edition of Khelo India University Games 2024 in November 2025.

This was announced on 25 June 2025 by Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Mansukh Mandaviya through a social media post.
Rajasthan will host the Khelo India University Games for the first time.
Rajasthan now joins the list of states that have hosted the Khelo India University Games, such as – Odisha, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh and seven states of Northeast India (Assam, Sikkim, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram and Nagaland)
The games are organised by a university in the state.
The University of Rajasthan and Poornima University, both based in Jaipur, will jointly host the games.
University students under the age of 25 are eligible to participate in the Khelo India University Games.
Around 4000 athletes from over 200 Indian universities are expected to participate in the fifth edition.
Khelo India program
Khelo India University Games are part of the 'Khelo India' program which was launched by the Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports in 2017.
The program aims to strengthen and revive the sports culture in India.
The program seeks to bring out sporting talents that can win medals for India in international sports in the future.
The Ministry, in collaboration with the Indian Olympic Association and state governments, organises four major national level events under Khelo India:
Khelo India Youth Games (for players under 19 years of age)
Khelo India University Games (for players under 25 years of age)
Khelo India Winter Games
Khelo India Para Games
