OPERATION_SARD_HAWA

The Border Security Force has launched Operation 'Sard Hawa' on the India-Pakistan border in Rajasthan to further strengthen security in view of Republic Day.

Key points

  • This campaign will run till January 29.
  • During this time, vigilance will be increased on the border by BSF jawans and officers.
  • Modern weapons and technical equipment will be used.
  • Objective:
    • Its main objective is to prevent any kind of infiltration and undesirable activities during the winter season.
    • The BSF remains alert on the border throughout the year, but special vigilance is being maintained during this campaign.
  • Surveillance and patrolling:
    • The border area will be monitored 24 hours a day so that immediate action can be taken on any suspicious activity.
    • Foot patrolling, patrolling with vehicles, and patrolling on camel rides have been increased.
    • The use of camels helps in faster patrolling in desert areas.
  • Additional security measures:
    • Additional soldiers have been deployed in the border area.
    • Surveillance of fencing has also been increased.
    • Instructions have been given to immediately convey every information to higher authorities.
