Eruption in Mount Dukono volcano

Why in news?

• Recently Mount Dukono volcano located in North Maluku province of Indonesia erupted.
• Indonesia's Volcanology and Geological Disaster Reduction Center has issued an Orange level Volcano Observatory Notice for aviation.
• This is the second highest warning, prohibiting the flight of aircraft below 5 km.

Mount Dukono:

• This volcano is located on Indonesia's Halmahera Island.
• It is located at an altitude of 1,087 meters above sea level.
• It is one of the 127 active volcanoes in the country.
• It has been continuously active since the year 1933.
